b/c they're going across the street?!?

I can understand parents who when their kids are in danger, because it scares the parents so bad that they want the kid to totally understand what they did was wrong, but I also think that parents who are willing to when the kids are in physical danger should also be willing to when the kids are really doing something else wrong (not listening, etc.) The threat of imminent physical danger may not be there, but it's all the same - raising children to know what they can and can't do. They can't disrespect their parents any more than they can run into oncoming traffic.
