How horrible was this to say?

so today i got really angry at my dad and i told him that i was ashamed to have him as my father because he always makes fun of people, just random people that he sees everywhere. I realized this was wrong and feel really bad about it, i just want to know from someone elses standpoint, how bad this was to say?
