IPod touch pcode lock won't open?

When I go to my pcode lock on general options to open it say I have to enter my old pcode. When I do that it says I have the wrong pcode even though I'm 100% sure it's the numerical pcode (the same pcode works in other features fine). How can I make it so I can access my passcode lock options
