My family's falling apart...?

Okay, I swear, my family has the most drama ever. Okay, so my mom is a theripist, and my brother has aspergers, OCD, ADHD, ADD, and acouple more disorders. I have figured out very early in my life what I want to do, so I've gotten a head start on the college search. I have a dream of being a professional fashion photographer hopefully living in Paris working for French Vogue. My dream college is the Brown/RISD Dual Degree Program, and I'm doing everything I can to increase my chances of acceptance to both schools so I can apply for the program. RISD, Brown, and the Dual Degree Program are all tied for first place as my top choice, followed by Columbia as the second and Pratt as the third. If I got accepted to the Dual Degree Program, I would choose to concentrate in French Literature at Brown and Photography at RISD. If I wasn't accepted but went to Columbia or Pratt, I'd obviously major in French at Columbia, taking cles at the ICP outside of school, or Photography at Pratt. But I don't want to go to a college that is strictly an art school - concerning my social life - excluding RISD because Brown is right down the street. Hey everyone I seem to have this problem with my sleeping that has gotten a little better, but still holds me back in my recovery. I have a catastrophic brain injury that I sustained on Nov18th 2010. I realize that the sleep issues come with it, but this is driving me crazy. I go to bed around 11 and take 3 apo amitriptyline and 2 and a half melatonin. How to get rid of slime in my tank?

I have been a fish aquarium hobbyist for 15 yrs and I have never encountered this problem before. I have set up and maintained several tanks of different sizes with many different fish species and if anybody knows what they are doing it ought to be me! So, I do not understand what is happening here and it is costing me much $ to fix! This slime developed on a new tank in a matter of hours and it is covering everything and clogging up the filters. In less than 24 hours I have had to change out the filters like 4 times! I kid you not! I finally removed everything and cleaned everything,but, in just two hours, the slime was back again-everywhere! And the filters were getting completely clogged up once again. I have a top-of-the-line filter,too. The slime looks like snot. My fish have tried to eat it thinking it was food, only to spit it out, of course, when they realized it wasn't. I keep checking the water conditions-nitrites are a little high of course due to the tank being new. I have having some trouble with the Ph-a little high, but, not bad. Ammonia levels are staying at around .5 despite water changes, filtration and use of Stress Coat. My fish are very stressed, I can tell, from the ammonia and all the water changes. I am changing out 25-50 % of the water every other day. Been doing this for just over a week. I even added a little salt. Nothing is helping. I do not know what kind of slime this is or if it is dangerous to my fish. Help! Things are getting out of control! This problem is taking over my life! Also, I cannot tell if there is a smell because I have very poor sense of smell and I have no one to ask to smell the tank for me (no one who will do it at least). I do not know what to do. Random apartment w/o notice search leads to city inspection. Is this legal?

I rent an apartment in an apartment complex in California. Regular apartment lease (no public housing, HUD, subsidized, or anything like that - just a regular apartment). I am a single guy living by myself. I am usually a neat person, but like anyone else sometimes I let my place go for a week or so if work stresses are high, not expecting any friends over, and I didn't have time to clean up everyday. I admit, my place was not in the greatest shape but one day I came home and all of the lights in my apartment were off and my patio door was open. I NEVER turn all of the lights off (even when I go to sleep) let alone leave the patio door open. I was kind of pissed as I suspect this has happened once before (but could not prove it). Anyway, 2 days later I get a notice taped to my front door that the rental management and the city needs to perform an inspection on my apartment. I cleaned up my place, of course. They came, I wasn't there, and again all of the lights were off when I got home but they left no doentation as to what was inspected and what was found. I called the rental office who confirmed that inspection took place but act aloof as to what was inspected, why, and results of the inspection. Is this legal?

You need to see with your school if they support macs. If they do then you could use it on your campus but I wouldn't recommend it because of compatibility issues. My university supports Mac's and I had this cl where we would write papers on them. If you send attachments to a PC we would not be able to open them due to compatibility issues. We hated Mac's during that semester. I guess you could dual boot and split disk 50-50 but that would not leave you much space if you like to download music, movies or whatever. Mac-book air would only be good as your secondary laptop. I wanted one too but after researching, it's not worth it. It is a weak computer in a nice shiny case. You would be better of getting a nice Sony Vaio which will kill that mac-book air performance vise and hard drive size.

CertainTeed has has many problems with roofing over the years. I built my house 5 years ago, and I used GAF 30 year architectural shingles. They still look great, and none have needed to be replaced (I go up and check every year). I live in Wisconsin, so temperature extremes are common. They have held up nicely. Hope this helps.

I bought a new with tags 76ers Iverson jersey from 1996 the road jersey. It is an authentic champion brand jersey size 48. I know that in 1996-1997 all teams had the gold NBA logo. My Iverson jersey has the regular blue and red one. I looked at the same jersey I had on another auction on ebay that was game worn and it had the gold logo and also the tag at the bottom of the left side said Body length +2 where it says designed and tailored 96 97 76ers. Mines doesnt say body length + on it. I read somewhere that teams had the gold logo stiched over the regular one. Ive also seen the same jersey I had that was Champion but it was the replica screenprinted one with the blue and red nba logo. I have this weird abrasion/raw skin on my that kind of dark in the center and pink towards the outside. Well, here I am again. I just wrote about my husband's alcoholism and his lack of performance because of it. We disagree about the heat, as they are always hot and hate the heater on and I am cold. I spend my time in my room all day, retired, and they also do not want my granddaughters to spend the weekend every other weekend like it has been done since we got married because it forces them to find a place to stay for that weekend and they can't afford it. Tonight, we had a fight because my family is visiting for Valentine's Day this Saturday and they wanted to know if they would have to find a place to stay again. We told them no, that the family only lives an hour away and won't stay. But I told them that they expect us to change my arrangement just because they moved in and they said they were homeless and my granddaughters weren't. I have a light colored granite counter top that is on the more porous side. We left some warm bacon grease on it by accident and now it is stained. Ive tried a commercial poultrice and made one out of dishsoap and flour without success. I think it must be because bacon grease is solid at room temperature. Any ideas?

you could have gotten a negative test if you tested during the day and not your morning pee. You need to test again in the morning, or hold your pee for a while to test again to be sure. The other thing could be that you are going to miscarriage. A positive test is a positive test, but some women mistake a evaporation line as a positive result. JUst test again in the morning to be sure.

Take a 401k Loan? In this bear market my money is not making money in compound interest?

Over the last 3 months my 401k lost over 7% interest. I currently have about 15-16k in there right now with a 5% contribution and also a company match. I can only borrow up to 7k from it. I have some student loans (about 14k) with 10% interest and 5.5% interest but I do not plan on consolidating these due to my debt payment plan being such a short amount of time. I would like to take the 7k loan to pay off the student loan with the 10% interest, and use the 24 month pay back schedule with my 401k rather than the 60 month. The deductions for payment plan come out of my bi-weekly check after taxes of course. But this will not be uncomfortable for me. In this type of situation wouldn't it be better to take this loan to pay off debts with interest? I would be paying back the 401k loan with 7-8% interest and actually would be able to pay it back within 12-24 months time.

Did you ever see a really, really shiny star near the moon like for the last 2 weeks!?

I was in El Salvador with my family and it was new years when i looked into the sky and i saw this really shiny star, i know that normally when i see a star shining really bright it's not really a star, it's a planet, but this one was like BIG and EXTREMELY SHINY!! I don't know if it was a planet, but i also noticed that every night it was a little bit more down from the moon then the night before. My grandmas dog's nails are severly overgrown!?

so i think i'm over the flu but i still have really really bad dry cough i mean really bad and and my ribs and chest hurt for coughing so much and every else on my body hurts like back and legs. All of my symptons are pretty much gone like the vomiting and fever and stuff. But i have a really dry mouth and i keep drinking ginger ale and gatorade but it is not helping. i still get minor headaches and i can eat now but not alot and only toast,applesauce stuff like that. My stomach stills feel a little bit nauseous but not that bad. It's just this freakin dry cough that's getting me. So do have something else besides the flu this is my 6th day of being sick....started on weekend!!!!!

How do i float drywall?

to float drywell means to spackle it. The floating is done either when filling in the seems and screw/nail holes in drywall sheets, or skim-coating with plaster. Floating (applying a smooth, even coat) take practice. Personally, I apply the spackle and get it a smooth as I can, then I sand the hec out of it until it is completely smooth, flat and well feathered (edges blended into surrounding unspackled sheetrock). A pro can float to the point where very little sanding is needed afterwards. I am not a pro - not by a long shot

Need a cheap dial up isp?

My isp is $6/mth and it isn't a bad isp except that every few hours (it's supposed to be every 4 hours) it disconnects me for a minute and then I have to start all over again. So my boyfriend who is 25 and I am 21 have been together for a little over 6 months now. We have not had yet because I am just waiting for the right time. We made plans to go on vacation and had paid for the plane tickets and the security deposit for the room. 2 weeks before we were supposed to go I did something stupid. We had came to my house and I turned the television on and there was a show on that my ex really liked. I texted my ex telling him that this show was on. My boyfriend heard my phone go off and was like ooo who's that? So I told him that it was my ex and I denied it at first that I texted him but then like a minute later I had told him the truth because I felt bad lying. Well he ended up getting really mad and left my house. So days went on and we were still hanging out but things weren't going great. Well a day before our trip he says that he doesn't want to go. So we ended up not going on our trip because of the text I sent my ex. If I tell my boyfriend that oh it was just a text calm down. He gets livid!! He doesn't see it as just a text he sees it as a whole other thing. He does not think that I should be thinking about my ex while laying in bed with him. He was also really pissed because we had mad a promise that we would not text our exes in front of one another and I broke that promise. It has been 3 weeks now and I still feel annoyed by this. I can understand parents who when their kids are in danger, because it scares the parents so bad that they want the kid to totally understand what they did was wrong, but I also think that parents who are willing to when the kids are in physical danger should also be willing to when the kids are really doing something else wrong (not listening, etc.) The threat of imminent physical danger may not be there, but it's all the same - raising children to know what they can and can't do. They can't disrespect their parents any more than they can run into oncoming traffic.

Can remnants of Depo Provera produce a false negative on a pregnancy despite being pregnant?

I was on the Depo shot for 9 months. I stopped taking it 2 months ago. I have had unprotected (w/ hubby) several times. For the past month my have been so painful that I have literally cried. I also have frequent urination, diarrhea, back aches, intense nausea, and heavy cramping. Not to mention some spotting/"breakthrough" bleeding. I've also been highly emotional crying for no reason. I took a pregnancy test and it said "Not Pregnant". I'm waiting for a doctor's appointment as confirmation, but would really love a reply.
